Job summary

PsiQuantum is seeking a Senior Optical Process Engineer to lead process development and assembly for R&D and volume deployment. You will collaborate across packaging, processing, and quality teams to deliver reliable sub-systems with silicon photonics chips on PCBAs for cryogenic and room-temperature systems.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in engineering or related field with emphasis on opto-mechanical concepts.
• 5+ years of experience applying engineering principles to solve complex opto-mechanical assembly problems.
• Experience with photonics packaging, die attach, wire bonding, and AOI testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop assembly process flows and build sub-assemblies for quantum computer subsystems across cryogenic and room-temperature environments.
• Finalize design and assembly processes using DFM, DFQ, and FMEA to meet targets.
• Release process documentation, train operations teams, and ensure compliance with change controls.
