Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a PVD/CVD/ALD Supplier Engineer III Senior in Santa Clara, CA. You will work with NPD teams to ensure clear engineering drawings for suppliers and participate in supplier selection to secure quality, cost, and delivery advantages.

You will perform supplier audits, drive root-cause resolutions, and support cost planning while identifying new technologies from qualified suppliers to advance product development and manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge and experience in thin films such as PVD, CVD, and ALD.
• Experience with New Product Development and design for manufacturability.
• Ability to evaluate supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong problem solving and root cause correction actions.
• Able to communicate requirements to suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with NPD teams to ensure drawings and specs are clear for suppliers.
• Participate in supplier selection to build a base with quality, cost, and delivery advantages.
• Audit suppliers and drive corrective actions to improve quality and capability.
• Resolve quality issues and manage incidents with root-cause analysis.
• Assist cost planning by monitoring cost drivers and supply markets.
