Job summary

The AES Corporation is seeking an Inverter Engineer to support, improve, and optimize the AES Clean Energy inverter fleet across the US. You will lead technical projects, perform root-cause analyses, and develop recovery plans to enhance asset performance and reduce operating costs.

Reporting to the CE Manager of Technical Services, you will collaborate with reliability and performance engineers, advance PM procedures, and drive improvements for safer, more reliable, and cost-efficient inverter

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.
3–5 years in high-voltage design/engineering, solar design, or related areas.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support for troubleshooting, testing and maintenance of AESCE inverter fleet.
Coordinate with reliability and performance engineers on improvements for the AESCE fleet.
Lead technical projects to enhance asset performance and reduce O&M costs.
Perform RCA and develop recovery plans for incidents.
Develop PM procedures and SOPs with OSS/AMS teams.
Lead optimization using AES APEX and Lean Six Sigma tools.
