Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking an Inverter Engineer to support, improve, and optimize the AES Clean Energy inverter fleet across the US. You will perform troubleshooting, performance analysis, and drive projects to increase asset reliability and reduce O&M costs.

Reporting to the AES CE Manager of Technical Services, you will collaborate with reliability and performance engineers, develop PM procedures, and lead optimization initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience in high‑voltage, solar, or power systems.
• Experience with HV/MV utility equipment and PV inverters is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for troubleshooting, testing and maintenance of AES CE inverter fleet.
• Coordinate with reliability and performance engineers on improvement technologies.
• Lead RCA and develop recovery and MoC plans.
• Develop PM procedures based on OEM manuals with the team.
• Lead optimization efforts using AES APEX & Lean Six Sigma.
