Job summary

Pps in the United States seeks a Lead PV / BESS Master Technician to own the technical performance from installation turnover through energization and commissioning on large solar and storage projects.

You will lead field crews, manage troubleshooting, and ensure safety and adherence to drawings and OEM procedures. This is not an entry-level or helper role and requires travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on PV field experience with utility-scale or commercial systems.
• Experience leading crews and coordinating on-site field activities.
• Proven ability to diagnose live system faults and perform complex mitigations.
• Strong communication with clients, utilities, and project teams.
• Excellent knowledge of safety standards and commissioning procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical field lead for PV and BESS commissioning, service, troubleshooting, and remediation.
• Lead field crews, direct technical workflow, and enforce workmanship standards.
• Execute cold/hot commissioning, functional testing, startup, energization, and performance verification.
• Troubleshoot live DC/AC electrical systems under field conditions.
• Produce detailed turnover packages, commissioning reports, and deficiency docs.
• Support project closeout, warranty investigations, and operational optimization.
