Job summary
EVS, Inc. in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking a Senior PV & BESS Engineer to lead the design and execution of utility-scale solar (PV) and battery energy storage (BESS) projects.
You will mentor engineers, drive technical excellence, and partner with clients to deliver high-quality outcomes from concept through construction. You will apply expertise in power system modeling, protection coordination, and SCADA integration, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years designing utility-scale PV/BESS projects.
- Strong knowledge of power system modeling, protection coordination, and SCADA integration.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and technical analysis of utility-scale PV and BESS projects to optimize performance and safety.
- Serve as technical lead and reviewer for calculations, designs, and deliverables.
- Develop and improve engineering standards, design practices, and documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to set requirements and schedules.
- Collaborate with Power Studies, Civil, Structural, Survey, and Geotechnical teams for integrated solutions.
- Provide field support during construction, review RFIs, and suggest practical design solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance and reviews.
