Job summary

This fully onsite role collaborates with Finance, Manufacturing, and Engineering to protect budget and drive cost savings. You will lead strategic sourcing, negotiate terms, manage supplier performance, and build procurement processes and KPIs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in purchasing/procurement role.
• Desire to own and build procurement function and workflows.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a high-growth environment.
• Track record in contract negotiations and budgeting support.
• Understanding of BOM, inventory management, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with supplier quality management principles.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills
• Experience with purchasing software (Precoro a plus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication — concise and professional.
• Based in or able to commute to Hayward, California — onsite.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing operations: handle requisitions, POs, and supplier communications across departments.
• Ensure timely procurement for R&D, pilot builds, and production.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and address shortages or delays.
• Maintain purchasing records, contracts, and supplier documentation.
• Collaborate with inventory planning to optimize stock levels and working capital.
• Source and qualify suppliers for direct materials, components, equipment, and services.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and contracts.
• Develop supplier relationships and monitor performance metrics.
• Coordinate with Finance on budgets, forecasts, and accruals.
• Drive cost savings and process efficiency initiatives.
