Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Purchasing Manager for Direct Material at our Palmetto, FL plant. You will oversee procurement projects, lead a team of buyers, and foster strong supplier relationships to ensure a resilient and cost-efficient supply chain.

You will report to the Sr Strategic Sourcing Manager and work on a hybrid schedule. The role emphasizes strategic sourcing, supplier qualification, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize procurement operations and deliver savings.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in procurement or supply chain, focused on machining/fabrication.
• 5 years leading a team of buyers (strategic and operational).
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Proficiency with procurement software and tools used in machining procurement.
• Experience building supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with procurement standards.
• Knowledge of machining processes (CNC, tooling, fabrication) and related materials.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant procurement and purchasing operations; lead a buyers team to drive productivity and KPI achievement.
• Maintain bi-weekly supplier committee meetings and connect with plant leadership across functions.
• Collaborate with Global Category Sourcing to select suppliers and qualification processes for LNG business.
• Drive procurement process improvements and alignment with Global Procurement Operations.
• Manage supplier risk assessments and mitigation plans with cross-functional teams.
• Lead contract strategies and negotiations with key LNG suppliers; align with Global Category Purchasing.
