Job summary

Honeywell International, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Materials Management Manager to lead the materials management function, optimize supply chain performance, and deliver cost savings while ensuring a steady flow of materials to support production.

You will oversee procurement, vendor management, inventory control, and logistics, reporting to the Senior Director Materials Management, and operate on a hybrid schedule from our Houston location.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in materials management, procurement, and logistics.
• 6+ years of experience managing, motivating, and guiding a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to align materials management with production goals.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to build diverse teams.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and best practices.
• Ability to communicate across departments and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in materials management software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee materials management strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan procurement.
• Guide procurement activities including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
• Oversee inventory levels and implement cycle counts and audits.
• Manage logistics and distribution to optimize delivery schedules and costs.
• Foster collaboration with production, quality control, and finance stakeholders.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
