Job summary

SST Direct in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Senior Pump Mechanic for a direct hire to repair API centrifugal pumps and related rotating equipment. You will lead shop personnel, coordinate repairs, and interact with customers to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in pump repair, strong API 610 knowledge, and the ability to read pump sections, drawings, and OEM manuals. This role offers full benefits and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years of experience in a pump repair shop repairing API centrifugal pumps.
• Experience reading pump sectional drawings and OEM manuals.
• Knowledge of API 610 and related standards.
• Ability to disassemble, inspect, and prepare detailed reports.

Job description

Seeking a Senior Pump Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Anaheim, CA.

This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k!

Pay is between $40 - $55 per hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Receive, disassemble, inspect, repair, paint, package/prepare for shipment API centrifugal pumps as well as other related rotating equipment
• Assist with training and developing Pump Mechanic personnel to ensure efficient use of manpower and compliance with customer requirements
• Monitor progress of repairs and assign and guide shop personnel to complete those repairs
• Serve as one of the most experienced tradesman in the shop
• Set the positive leadership tone and behavior
• Interact with customers in a positive way
• Assist the Supervisor in the execution of all work

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 10 + years of experience working in a pump repair shop facility with previous experience repairing API centrifugal pumps and other related rotating equipment prepared
• Experience repairing API/Engineered pumps, creating details, and making technical decisions
• In-depth understanding of API 610, and other applicable standards
• Ability to read pump sectional, machine drawings, and OEM pump manuals
• Disassembly, inspection, ability to write up a detailed rotating equipment report to all necessary repairs and or replacement parts needed
• Safely use hand, power, pneumatic and hydraulic tools
• Experience with pneumatic and hydrostatic testing of parts and equipment
• Ability to read and understand mechanical seal drawings, mechanical seal removal, installation, and pneumatic pressure testing preferred
• Ability to work with multiple and competing priorities in a fast paced environment.

• Working Conditions:Must be able to work in a shop environment without AC and heat, with possible exposure to dirt, heat, and noise.
