Job summary

Children's National Medical Center seeks a Pulmonary Diagnostics RCPIII to oversee clinical support for diagnostic services and respiratory care across multiple sites in the Fairfax/VA region. The role includes mentorship of new hires and participation in educational encounters for patients and families.

The RCPIII will perform comprehensive pulmonary function testing, assist with OR/ICU procedures, and ensure compliance with ATS and hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program (minimum two years).
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient respiratory status and recommend care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment.
• Perform full range of pulmonary function testing per ATS standards.
• Maintain documentation in the EMR and ensure accuracy of orders.
