Job summary

MPI is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee Public Works and DSA construction projects in the Palmdale area. The role involves managing budgets, schedules, and client relationships from preconstruction through closeout.

The ideal candidate has Public Works experience, DSA exposure, LAUSD familiarity, and strong leadership to drive projects independently while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Public Works project management experience.
• DSA experience strongly preferred.
• LAUSD experience highly preferred.
• Strong scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control skills.
• Ability to lead projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from preconstruction through final closeout
• Develop and maintain budgets, schedules, and project forecasts
• Oversee procurement, subcontractor buyout, and contract administration
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Coordinate with owners, architects, inspectors, consultants, and public agencies
• Lead OAC meetings and client communications
• Ensure compliance with Public Works and DSA requirements
• Mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers
