Job summary

Brockwell & Carrington Contractors, Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a senior estimator to own the public bid process from decision to bid through award and buyout.

You will lead bid strategy, secure comprehensive coverage from major subs, and price scope and self-perform work with ownership backing. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in public-works GC estimating, a verifiable track record of profitable bids, and an extensive NJ subcontractor network.

Qualifications

• New Jersey public-works GC estimating experience required.
• Eight+ years of construction estimating with a general contractor.
• Public lump-sum bidding experience per NJ Local Public Contracts Law.
• Ability to run a bid independently.
• Active subcontractor network across major NJ trades.

Responsibilities

• Develop bid strategy from plans, specs, addenda and go/no-go.
• Own subcontractor coverage for major trades and build real numbers.
• Define scope, level quotes and price self-perform work.
• Assemble full bid package: RFIs, addenda, forms, bid bond, subcontractor paperwork.
• Post-bid debrief and drive profitable buyout of awarded work.
