Placements24 is seeking a Senior Management Consultant to drive strategy and transformation for public sector clients. This remote role supports government agencies with policy development, service delivery optimization, and digital transformation from anywhere in South Africa.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree and at least 7 years of consulting experience in the public sector, with strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in a relevant field.
• Minimum 7 years of consulting experience, with a strong public sector focus.
• Deep knowledge of government structures, policy processes and public service delivery in SA.
• Proven track record leading complex projects and advising senior public sector leaders.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to articulate complex issues clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a self-directed, remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagements with public sector clients addressing strategic and policy challenges.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance service delivery and organizational effectiveness in government entities.
• Conduct policy analysis, impact assessments and advise on policy reform.
• Advise on digital transformation, including e-governance and citizen platforms.
• Manage project teams and ensure high-quality deliverables in a remote setting.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder consultations with public officials and community reps.
• Build relationships with key government stakeholders and contribute to business development within public sector practice.
