State of Colorado is seeking a Strategic Planner to build capacity across the department in strategic planning, priority setting, metric development, and continuous improvement. This role partners with leadership, the Governor’s Office of Performance Management, and other stakeholders to drive results.

The position emphasizes SMART goals, LEAN methods, and cross-agency collaboration to deliver measurable outcomes and effective policy integration.

Formación

• Significant experience in creating long-term directions, priorities and measurable goals for large public organizations.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Flexibility in work and leadership style to maximize team performance.
• Strong writing and oral communication.
• Lean/process improvement certifications are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement the Department outcome-based strategic plan with SMART goals and LEAN strategies.
• Monitor, evaluate and analyze the strategic process; distribute quarterly reporting on outcomes.
• Ensure reviews of the strategic plan are conducted timely and aligned with policy priorities.
• Collaborate with senior management to set strategies and objectives within areas of responsibility.
• Oversee day-to-day implementation to integrate the plan into the Department's business strategy.
