Job summary

Equinix is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect for the Public Sector to drive strategic Federal, DoD, and SLED opportunities with secure connectivity, hybrid cloud, and compliance‑driven architectures.

The role requires deep technical mastery, senior stakeholder engagement, and a track record of growth within the Federal IT ecosystem. You’ll influence executives and collaborate with account teams to shape strategic pursuits and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in Network, Data Center, Enterprise IT or DoD infrastructure preferred.
• 7+ years of solutions selling in Federal/public sector
• Active or clearable security clearance (Secret minimum; TS/SCI strong differentiator)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related engineering discipline preferred

Responsibilities

• Engage with Senior Agency Executives, CIOs, CTOs and Directors to align mission objectives with future sales engagements
• Inspire and drive the public sector team toward a unified go‑to‑market approach
• Navigate conversations with Agency executives around mission outcomes and pivot to technical depth on solutions, compliance, and architecture
• Present as SME to audiences from contracting officers to CISOs and network engineers
• Collaborate with Federal teams on capture planning, agency calls, and customer‑facing meetings
• Discuss value proposition of Equinix for FedRAMP, Zero Trust, and CMMC compliance in complex use cases
