Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, at least 6 months of Public Safety Officer experience at a UVA Health facility, IAHSS Basic and Advanced Training, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Requires 6 months of Public Safety Officer experience at UVA Health Northern VA Culpeper facility.
• IAHSS Basic and Advanced Training Certifications required.
• Must have a valid driver's license; 21+; motor vehicle records verification.
• Ability to receive/transmit information by radio/telephone.
• No criminal record; must comply with UVA Health vehicle/use policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security checks and control patient/visitor traffic.
• Respond to security breaches and incidents.
• Prepare legible incident reports; document observations.
• Operate patrol vehicles safely per Public Safety policies.
