Job summary

MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Public Safety Officer to lead the Public Safety team, mentor officers, and oversee security operations across the healthcare campus.

Qualifications

• Required: 2 years as a Public Safety Officer or related experience, or with Associate's degree, no experience required.
• Preferred: 3 years Public Safety Officer.
• Licensing: Valid Texas Driver's License; able to drive as needed.

Responsibilities

• Patrol property by vehicle and on foot to maintain a safe environment.
• Manage door screenings, access control, and lock/unlock procedures.
• Operate and monitor security technology systems and report issues.
• Handle morgue duty, package deliveries, and parking/traffic control.
• Assist motorists, provide escort services, and relieve dispatchers when needed.
• Prepare accurate incident and departmental reports.
• Respond to calls and make sound decisions under pressure.
