Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect patients, staff and visitors across our Augusta campus. You will perform routine safety activities, respond to emergencies, de-escalate tense situations, and document incidents in the medical record while upholding Piedmont policies.

The ideal candidate has a GED, at least 2 years of public safety or security experience, and valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years in general security, military, or related public safety experience.
• Ability to actively carry a firearm as part of duty.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate Piedmont values and provide excellent service to patients, staff and visitors.
• Screen for weapons entering the facility and maintain security of the hospital and parking areas.
• Oversee routine and emergency security activities and conduct training and onboarding for new staff.
