Job summary

Brass Tracks is seeking a Senior Business and Economics Principal to support private capital engagement within the DASN (DIB) with Top Secret clearance preferred. You will model and defend financing structures for the nation’s fifth public shipyard and related industrial-base investments.

The role involves coordinating with Navy and interagency teams, conducting comprehensive financial analyses, and producing decision-ready materials for senior government and industry leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in infrastructure finance, energy markets, project finance, or related fields.
• Experience with public-private partnerships and infrastructure financing.
• Ability to build, audit, and defend project-finance models from a blank workbook and manage many iterations.
• Experience analyzing capital structures, debt capacity, and nonrecourse/limited-recourse financing.

Responsibilities

• Model, review, and defend public-private financing structures for shipyard investments and other industrial-base projects.
• Conduct project-finance, infrastructure, energy, market, and investment analysis for DASN (DIB) priorities.
• Build, document, and update transparent, auditable project-finance models with disciplined version control.
• Model cash flows, capex/opex, debt sizing, coverage ratios, and downside scenarios.
• Analyze nonrecourse and limited-recourse financing and counterparty risk.
• Research market participants including infrastructure investors, developers, utilities, lenders, and contractors.
• Produce business cases, cost-benefit analyses, market assessments, and executive materials.
• Coordinate with DASN (DIB), ASN (RD&A), DoN acquisition organizations, and interagency stakeholders.
