Responsibilities

  • Provide information and plans for orderly and coordinated development of Hawaii and/or State services.
  • Conduct studies and prepare plans for geographic areas or major facilities and establish relationships with agencies.
  • Coordinate input from groups/organizations involved in planning and consider social, economic, physical, and environmental factors.
  • Develop policy options and present plans and alternatives to decision makers and at public hearings.
