Job summary

City of New Haven is seeking a Senior Personnel Analyst to lead recruitment, Civil Service testing, job analysis and classification, onboarding, training, and other workforce initiatives within the Human Resources Department.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field with at least 3 years of professional HR experience, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR/related field.
• 3+ years of professional HR experience, including recruitment and testing.
• Strong analytical, written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Administers and coordinates HR programs.
• Plans and prioritizes multiple projects.
• Provides guidance to departments, applicants, and staff.
• Assists with training and organizational development.
• Collects and analyzes HR data for reporting.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in HR/related field
