Job summary

Texas Department of State Health Services seeks a Financial Analyst III to lead section-wide invoice processing and perform advanced budgetary analysis and procurement monitoring. You will support grant expenditures, forecasts, and alignment with section goals.

Under supervision, you will manage financial processes, develop budget data, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Telework may be available as per agency policy.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to DSHS, the principles and practices of public administration and management.
• Skill in analyzing financial data, written and oral communications, and use of a networked computer and software.
• Ability to manage program activities, establish goals and objectives, identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Administers financial aspects of MCH Section programs and operations including invoices.
• Plans, reviews and reports on MCH projects and procurements financial analysis.
• Prepares, reviews, analyzes and/or approves section invoices, financial reports, budgets and expenditures.
• Verifies source documents, data and other materials underlying budgets and reports.
