Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Budget Analyst V in Austin, TX. The role focuses on advanced budget analysis, forecasting, and guidance for state and federally funded programs.

The incumbent will prepare budgets, performance measures, and legislative requests, working with multiple stakeholders to ensure accurate funding and reporting. Telework may be available with a regular schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing legislative appropriation requests
• Experience preparing LBB operating budgets
• Experience preparing and analyzing governmental operating budgets
• Experience with statistical analysis methods and budget forecasting

Responsibilities

• Monitor operating budgets and expenditure patterns to ensure proper fund use
• Prepare financial reports and analyses for management
• Coordinate with program areas to allocate and budget funding
• Develop budget materials for annual operating and legislative requests
• Support performance measures reporting and data analysis
