Job summary

The State of Hawai‘i is seeking qualified staff to maintain control accounts for government funds across a broad range of disbursements. Vacancies are located from Downtown Honolulu to Halawa and Kalihi, with several departments including Budget & Finance, Attorney General, Corrections, Health, Defense, and Transportation - Harbors.

Salary ranges from $3,900 to $4,933 per month, with hiring based on funds availability and applicant qualifications.

Qualifications

• Six months of work experience demonstrating arithmetic, spelling and following directions.
• Three years of experience posting to accounting records, classifying and recording financial data.
• Experience reconciling accounts and preparing balance sheets or income statements.
• Substitutions described in the minimum qualification requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control accounts for appropriated and non-appropriated funds across many accounts and disbursements.
• May manage program control accounts with unusual accounting features.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
