Job summary

The Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) in Las Vegas, Nevada seeks a full-time Psychiatric Nurse 3 to provide professional nursing care and supervision for individuals with developmental disabilities. The role includes coordinating care with treatment teams, conducting comprehensive assessments, and ensuring safety and quality in the clinical setting.

Requires an RN license and a minimum of three years of nursing experience, including two years in relevant psychiatric or disability

Qualifications

Must hold a current RN license to practice.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
Supervisory experience is required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Identify patient health care needs via nursing assessments and interviews.
Prepare and revise nursing care plans in collaboration with health professionals.
Administer medications per physician orders and monitor effects.
Supervise Nurse II and other staff; provide coaching and disciplinary guidance.
Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal treatment.
Provide emergency care and CPR as required.
Contribute to discharge planning and patient/family education.
