Job summary

University Hospitals is looking for a Registered Polysomnography Technologist II in Elyria, Ohio. You will perform polysomnography and Home Sleep Apnea Testing, providing patient education and care.

This role requires 2+ years of experience, proficiency in scoring requirements, and certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists. Compliance with health information policies is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent.
• Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scoring of adult and pediatric sleep studies.
• Conduct PSG, titration studies, and other sleep procedures.
• Educate patients and families about sleep disorders.

Skills

Proficiency in scoring requirements following AASM Standards

Knowledge of patient monitoring and care delivery

Technical equipment usage

Understanding sleep-induced physiological changes

Ability to interpret sleep tracings

Education

High School Equivalent / GED

Associate's Degree (Preferred)
