Primary Objective

To manufacture low-volume iterative sheet metal assemblies using various manufacturing processes while adhering to high safety and quality standards in a product development environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Cutting, forming, and welding of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum using CNC press brakes, CNC laser, and welding technologies (Pulse/Short Arc).
2. Partner with engineers to reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance manufacturability.
3. Perform MIG/TIG welding applications.
4. Utilize hand tools such as grinders, sanders, and cut-off tools associated with manufacturing processes.
5. Communicate challenges to the department supervisor and collaborate on problem-solving.
6. Interpret part drawings and CAD models to process workflows.
7. Provide training and guidance to new hires and team members as needed.
8. Operate part nesting software and perform cutting on CNC laser.
9. Set up and operate 175 and 90-ton press brakes.
10. Use oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting torches as required.
11. Use spot welding machines to create weld schedules for hardware attachment.
12. Operate forklifts and PIT vehicles to transfer parts and raw materials.
13. Request raw materials and consumables as needed.

Required Education and Experience:

• 5-7 years experience in prototyping or job shop environments.
• Completion of a technical welding program or equivalent work experience.

Competitive base salary: $61,500 - $91,900 annually. Salaries are subject to adjustment based on experience and internal/external equity. Total compensation includes base salary plus benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), profit sharing, disability, life insurance, paid time off, and voluntary benefits.
