Job summary

Aalo Atomics in Austin, Texas is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to build, run, and evolve experimental systems that enable faster, safer reactor development. This hands-on role focuses on physical prototyping, test fixtures, instrumentation, data logging, and credible results that inform design decisions and manufacturing readiness.

You will collaborate with mechanical, chemical, and nuclear engineers, manufacturing, and operations to translate questions into disciplined tests and actionable

Qualifications

• Degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience.
• Willing to work hands-on with prototype hardware and lab systems.

Responsibilities

• Understand engineering questions and translate them into hardware or procedures.
• Design, assemble, and iterate physical test setups from benchtop to complex systems.
• Own test execution from concept through data capture and post-test analysis.
• Build reliable prototyping infrastructure to enable rapid learning with safety and rigor.
• Develop and run tests for mechanical, thermal, fluid, and chemical systems.
