Job summary

Terray Therapeutics is seeking a creative and experienced structural biologist/protein biochemist for a full-time onsite role. The candidate will lead protein purification efforts and support assay design and screening, integrating structural biology to guide target validation and optimization of small-molecule hits from Terray’s platform.

The successful candidate will have deep protein biochemistry/structural biology experience, able to work across multidisciplinary teams and manage CRO

Qualifications

• PhD in Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics or related field is required and adds extensive domain expertise.
• Extensive experience in protein purification across multiple expression systems (E. coli, insect, mammalian).
• Experience applying structural biology to evaluate drug targets and small-molecule binding is required.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, matrixed environment across concurrent projects and programs.

Responsibilities

• Leverage structural biology to guide protein construct design and purification strategies across programs.
• Collaborate with biology, chemistry, platform, screening, data, and computational teams to implement constructs and purified proteins.
• Manage relationships and partner protein needs across CRO networks.
• Guide protein quality control and stability investigations to ensure consistency across assays.
• Build effective protein management and inventory workflows, including Benchling registration.
• Apply protein design to inform assay development (biochemistry vs biophysical assays).
