Job summary

Terray Therapeutics is seeking a creative and experienced structural biologist/protein biochemist for a full-time onsite role. The candidate will generate constructs and lead protein purification to support assay design and screening within Terray's proprietary EMMI platform.

You will partner with biology, chemistry, platform, screening, data and computational teams to implement constructs, manage CRO relationships, ensure protein quality and stability, and maintain protein inventory and

Qualifications

• PhD in Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics or related field with extensive hands-on experience.
• Experience in protein purification, construct design, expression and purification across systems (E. coli, insect, mammalian).
• Experience applying structure/function insights to evaluate drug targets and small molecule binding.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, matrixed environment across multiple projects.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Leverage structural biology to guide construct design and purification strategy across programs.
• Partner with biology, chemistry, platform, screening, data, and computational teams to implement constructs and purified proteins.
• Manage relationships and needs across CROs for protein work.
• Guide quality control and stability investigations of purified protein materials.
• Build and maintain protein management workflows and inventories.
• Apply protein design to assay development (biochemistry vs biophysical assays).
