Job summary
Terray Therapeutics is seeking a Principal Scientist in Protein Biochemistry and Structural Biology to lead onsite research in Southern California. This role will generate constructs and lead protein purification to support assay design and screening within Terray’s EMMI platform.

Qualifications
- PhD in Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics or related field and 10+ years of experience.
- Extensive experience in protein purification and construct design across systems (E. coli, insect, mammalian).
- Experience leveraging structure/function to evaluate drug targets and small molecule binding.
Responsibilities
- Guide protein construct design and purification strategies across programs.
- Collaborate with biology, chemistry, platform, screening, data, and computational teams.
- Coordinate with CROs for protein needs and manage protein inventory/organization in Benchling.
- Oversee quality control and stability of purified protein across assays and platform data.
- Apply protein design to assay development for biochemistry and biophysical assays.
