Job summary

Echo Power Engineering, Llc is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Protection & Controls) for a hybrid role combining remote work with site assignments. The engineer will lead protection and control design for substations and power plants, mentor staff, and coordinate across project teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates have a BSEE, 7+ years of relevant experience, and a PE license would be preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
• 7+ years in substation or power plant design, commissioning, or related.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead protection and control system design, including DC schematics and AC diagrams.
• Develop, review, and approve relay settings and protection schemes.
• Lead control system design, including PLC logic and HMI configurations.
• Review wiring diagrams, BOMs, and schedules.
• Lead design reviews and ensure deliverables meet codes and quality standards.
• Mentor engineers and designers, setting engineering standards.
