Job summary

Telex, LLC is seeking a Lead Protection and Control Technician to own commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced protective relaying schemes across generation, transmission, and distribution substations. You will lead field activities and mentor junior technicians while coordinating with clients and vendors to ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years field experience in relay testing, calibration, and substation commissioning.
• Expertise in three-phase power systems, protection schemes, and SCADA integration.
• Proficiency with Omicron, Doble, Vanguard, and related test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning, testing, and maintenance of protective relaying equipment.
• Perform advanced end-to-end relay testing using industry tools.
• Develop standardized commissioning and testing procedures.
• Mentor junior technicians and oversee field execution.
• Partner with clients and engineering teams to deliver reliability.
