Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Senior P&C Engineer to design and operate protection and control systems ensuring reliable transmission and distribution. You will mentor engineers, leading project teams and supporting operations during unplanned events.

Requirements include a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in protection, and experience with IEC61850; PE license is preferred. Hybrid work environment with travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of five (5) years related experience.
• Experience with protection and control systems.
• Knowledge of protective relaying and IEC61850 preferred.
• PE License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review proposed changes to electric facilities for compatibility with protection standards.
• Create new protection and control system designs per Eversource standards.
• Specify materials for new/modified protection systems.
• Develop settings and logic for protective relays and feeders.
• Perform coordination studies using fault simulation software.
• Interface with Planning, Operations, and Field personnel.
• Lead project teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Assist in storm and emergency restoration efforts.
