Job summary

Gravitics Inc in Seattle, WA is seeking an experienced propulsion systems engineer to own the design, build, and test of fluid propulsion subsystems for in-space propulsion systems. You will lead system-level trade studies, manage interfaces, and drive hardware integration from concept definition to testing.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
  • Working knowledge of propulsion or fluid system components.
  • Exposure to propulsion design, propellant management, or fluid handling.
  • Familiarity with CAD/FEA tools such as NX and NASTRAN.
  • Ability to derive designs from first principles and work cross-functionally.
  • Experience in design-through-test of propulsion systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and test propulsion fluid systems including feed systems and tank pressurization.
  • Own propulsion subsystem architecture from concept to hardware integration and test.
  • Lead system-level trade studies to evaluate performance, weight, power, and cost.
  • Plan and execute propulsion integration and test campaigns at component, subsystem, and vehicle levels.
  • Generate and maintain requirements, ICDs, test plans, and fluid schematics.
  • Collaborate with structures, thermal, avionics, and GNC teams for compatibility.
  • Support environmental qualification and acceptance testing (TVAC, vibration, leak tests).
