Axiom Space seeks a Propulsion Senior Engineer - Pressure & Fluid Systems to own the end-to-end execution of bipropellant feed systems, from requirements definition to flight readiness. You will lead cross-functional teams and manage suppliers to meet safety, cost, and schedule targets.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on propulsion hardware experience, deep knowledge of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics, and strong technical leadership.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or related Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience with depth in pressure control and fluid systems design.
• Hands-on experience with propellant feed system design, development, qualification and integration, including COPVS, valves, regulators, filters, manifolds and instrumentation.
• Expertise in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and heat transfer with propulsion applications.
• Experience with oxygen compatibility requirements and assessments.
• Experience coordinating with external vendors on technical requirements, design verification, cost and schedule performance.
• 3D modeling software experience: SolidWorks preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Owns end-to-end technical execution of spacecraft pressure control and fluid systems, from requirements through design, build, integration, test and flight readiness.
• Serve as SME in propellant feed and pressurization system design; provide technical authority on architecture and interfaces.
• Perform detailed modeling, analysis and simulation of fluid systems using GFSSP, ANSYS/Fluent to evaluate performance and transient behavior.
• Size and select fluid system components to meet performance, environmental and material requirements.
• Define and execute system and component level tests, anchor analytical models and validate with test data.
• Lead reviews, trade studies, and subassembly integration; ensure compliance with requirements and milestones.
• Coordinate with vendors on technical requirements, design verification, cost, and schedule.
• Define and control interfaces between fluid/pressure systems and vehicle level systems with other teams.
• Provide technical mentorship to less experienced engineers.
• Deliver against safety, cost, and schedule targets.
