Job summary

SpaceWorks Enterprises in Atlanta, GA seeks a Senior Propulsion Engineer to lead design, analysis, and testing of advanced propulsion systems across a full product lifecycle.

You'll work in a small multidisciplinary team, bridging analytical work with hands-on hardware, and interact with customers and partners, including government clients, to communicate progress and roadmap alignments.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of relevant propulsion experience in launch, aircraft, or spacecraft systems.
• Strong understanding of propulsion, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and combustion.

Responsibilities

• Conduct propulsion design studies, including cycle analysis and performance trades.
• Design and evaluate propulsion components from paper studies through fabrication and test.
• Develop full-vehicle and subsystem thermal models for external heating and internal response.
• Support integration of propulsion systems with other subsystems and structures.
• Participate in ground testing with procedure development and data reduction.
• Communicate progress and roadmap status to customers and partners.
