Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Sr. Staff Propulsion Engineer – Level 6 in Promontory, UT, with preferred locations Promontory or Magna, UT.

The role requires leadership in propulsion materials, cross-functional collaboration, and oversight of material processes in a regulated environment. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (STEM) with 14 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree (STEM) with 12 years of professional experience – OR – PhD (STEM) with 10 years of professional experience.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
  • Strong understanding of materials and processes used in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Lead and Program Liaison for material issues
  • Identify opportunities and drive common materials initiatives
  • Lead and manage material obsolescence challenges
  • Manage Common engineering change process
  • Coordinate and support material compliance; Train, mentor and support engineers with M&P responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned
