Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector seeks a Propulsion Engineer – Level 5 located in Promontory, UT. You will act as a technical lead and liaison for material issues, driving initiatives and leading changes across propulsion materials and processes.

The role requires advanced degrees in STEM and extensive experience with material trade studies, regulatory environments, and cross-functional collaboration. Relocation may be available and the position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (STEM) with 12+ years of experience or Master's degree (STEM) with 10+ years or PhD (STEM) with 8+ years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Strong understanding of materials and processes used in a highly regulated environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Lead and Program Liaison for material issues.
  • Identify opportunities and drive common materials initiatives.
  • Lead and manage material obsolescence challenges.
  • Manage Common engineering change process.
  • Coordinate and support material compliance.
  • Train, mentor and support engineers with M&P responsibilities.
