Job summary

Venus Aerospace in Houston, TX, is hiring a Principal Propulsion Engineer to lead design, analysis, and development of propulsion hardware from parts to flight-ready engines. You will own lifecycle from combustor to gimbal, coordinating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 10+ years in aerospace propulsion, a BS in aerospace or mechanical engineering, strong systems engineering skills, CAD/analysis tool expertise, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of aerospace vehicle and engine systems engineering/design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• Strong systems engineering experience and multi-disciplinary collaboration.
• Experience with CAD/analysis tools and propulsion hardware development.
• Excellent communication and leadership in a hybrid, fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Support design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of propulsion piece parts and assemblies.
• Generate CAD models of components and engine systems.
• Fluid network modeling, analysis and design of engine fluid systems.
• Generate P&ID’s of engine systems.
• Develop and execute test plans; analyze test results.
• Own the entire lifecycle of an engine assembly from combustor to gimbal system.
