Job summary

Venus Aerospace is seeking a Principal Propulsion Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and development of propulsion hardware from parts to flight-ready assemblies. You will model engines, analyze fluid systems, generate P&IDs, and drive test plans in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in aerospace propulsion, strong CAD/FEA skills, and experience across engine cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• 10+ years in aerospace vehicle and engine systems.
• Experience with multidisciplinary project teams and propulsion analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of propulsion parts and assemblies.
• Create CAD models of components and engine systems.
• Model and design fluid networks; select components with suppliers.
• Develop and execute test plans; analyze results.
• Own full lifecycle of engine assemblies from combustor to subsystems.
