Placements24 is recruiting on behalf of a leading aerospace client for a Senior Aerospace Propulsion Engineer in Welkom, South Africa. Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with propulsion specialization.
• 7+ years of experience in aerospace propulsion design, development, or analysis.
• Expertise in gas turbine engine principles, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
• Experience with propulsion system simulation tools and CFD/FEA software.
• Strong communication and team-lead skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of aircraft engine components, focusing on performance, efficiency, and durability.
• Conduct performance analyses, thermodynamic calculations, and simulations of propulsion systems.
• Oversee engine testing procedures, including ground and flight testing, and analyze test data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated system design.
• Develop and maintain technical specifications and test reports.
• Mentor junior engineers and advance propulsion engineering capabilities.
• Research emerging propulsion technologies and evaluate applicability.
