Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Propulsion Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of propulsion systems for a constellation of spacecraft. You will analyze propulsion options, manage interfaces with power and thermal subsystems, and guide on-orbit performance modeling.

You will collaborate with GNC, systems, and mission operations teams, and contribute to the full lifecycle from concept through test and, if applicable, on-orbit operations.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in design, analysis, or testing of spacecraft propulsion systems.
• Experience with electric propulsion systems, including testing and/or flight.
• Strong understanding of interfaces with power, thermal, and propellant subsystems.
• Fundamentals in plasma physics, fluid dynamics, and orbital mechanics.

Mansioni

• Own the propulsion system design and development for mission-specific spacecraft.
• Perform trade studies and analysis to inform design decisions and upgrades.
• Develop system requirements and interface control documents for propulsion.
• Create performance models to predict on-orbit thrust, Isp, and total impulse.
• Define and oversee test plans to verify performance and lifetime.
• Collaborate with GNC, systems, and mission operations teams.
• Support procurement, design, manufacturing, test and integration of propulsion hardware.
• Analyze test data and anchor system models for predictive accuracy.
