Job summary

Cornerstone Signals & Cyber Technologies LLC is seeking a Senior Propulsion Engineer in Dayton, Ohio to support an advanced aerospace and missile program. You will apply propulsion modeling, simulations, and performance analysis to rockets and propulsion subsystems for government customers.

The role requires an ABET-accredited Bachelor's in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years' propulsion experience, and skills in Python, MATLAB, C, C++, or Fortran.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Eight (8)+ years of professional propulsion experience.
• Experience with propulsion analyses, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and related disciplines.
• Proficiency in programming for engineering calculations (Python, MATLAB, C, C++, or Fortran).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical analysis and engineering support for propulsion systems in aerospace and missile programs.
• Evaluate liquid rocket engines, solid rocket motors, and related propulsion technologies.
• Respond to government inquiries with engineering analyses, literature reviews, and reports.
• Perform propulsion performance evaluations using analytical methods and software.
• Support design reviews, trade studies, and risk assessments.
• Analyze propulsion system performance, combustion, thermal environments, and fluid flow.
