Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking an experienced Staff Electrical Engineer to design and test advanced propulsion electronics, including flight controllers, power electronics, and motor controllers. You’ll lead full-cycle PCB design, analysis, testing, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure reliability in extreme environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 10+ years of experience in board designs.
• Strong fundamentals across analog, digital and power electronics.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer and LTSpice for schematic/layout and simulations.
• Experience with lab instruments and test automation for rigorous verification.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, test, and integrate propulsion-subsystem electronics from concept to production.
• Develop and optimize PCB designs, flight controller circuits, power distribution, and motor controllers.
• Perform circuit simulations, thermal analysis, DFMEA and component derating.
• Lead board bring-ups, DVT, qualification testing, and functional testing.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, test, and manufacturing teams; participate in peer reviews.
• Conduct root cause analysis to support engine testing and field operations.
