Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to develop and test propulsion-subsystem electronics from concept to production. You will own full cycle PCB design, flight controller circuits, and power electronics in a defense context, with a strong emphasis on reliability and integration across teams.

The role requires 10+ years in electrical design, mastery of Altium LTSpice, and the ability to ensure performance under extreme conditions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years in board design.
Strong analog, digital, and power-electronics fundamentals.
Experience with Altium Designer and LTSpice for design & simulation.
Laboratory skills with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and DAQ equipment.
Familiarity with CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet interfaces and MCU/CPU architectures.
Eligible for U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Translate propulsion requirements into robust PCB designs with high density layouts.
Design and optimize flight controller, power distribution, motor controller, and actuator circuits.
Conduct simulations, thermal analysis, DFMEA, and derating for reliability.
Lead board bring-ups, DVT, qualification testing, and functional testing.
Collaborate with mechanical, software, test, and manufacturing teams.
Perform root-cause analysis in support of engine testing and field ops.
Participate in peer reviews and cross-discipline design reviews.
