Qualifications

• 60 months of aerospace/mechanical design experience in mechanical/gearbox/engine design.
• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering acceptable.
• Travel: 10% domestic and international.

Responsibilities

• Design Archer’s Electric Engine, integrating motor, gearbox, inverter, and thermo-lubrication systems.
• Own design of components through design, manufacturing/assembly, and test/validation.
• Develop innovative design solutions to engineering challenges.
• Design gears, shafts, pumps, housings, fasteners, oil transfer devices, etc.
• Create component drawings and work with suppliers to manufacture designs.
• Perform component finite element analysis to validate designs.
• Present in design reviews.
• Design test setups for design validation.
• Support engineering prototype builds and validation testing.
