Job summary

Stellantis in Auburn, Alabama seeks an Underbody Process Engineering Standards Specialist - Assembly to develop and maintain propulsion assembly specifications, standards, and process sheets across engines, transmissions, and e-Drives. The role supports North American product launches through simultaneous engineering.

You'll lead advanced process development, define equipment and automation concepts, and prepare cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 10 years of automotive project experience focused on engine or transmission assembly systems.
• Experience developing propulsion assembly specifications, standards, process sheets, advanced concepts, and early cost estimates.
• Experience managing advanced process development, validation, industrialization handoff, and launch support.
• Experience supporting product and process introductions from advanced definition through RFQ, sourcing, commissioning, launch, and execution handoff.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with executive and senior management.
• Strong team collaboration skills.
• Ability to travel 10–20% to Propulsion Division plants and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain propulsion assembly specifications, standards, design rules, and process sheets
• Lead advanced assembly process development, validation, and continuous improvement
• Define process assumptions, equipment requirements, automation concepts, and facility interfaces
• Develop near-term advanced process cost estimates, assumptions, and methods
• Establish the documentation, readiness criteria, and handoff to transition cost estimation to Industrial Strategy
• Develop concept layouts and process representations
• Assess product and process feasibility through simultaneous engineering
• Identify DTM opportunities to improve cost, quality, and throughput
• Prepare standards, process sheets, cost assumptions, and open items for UPE execution handoff
