Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop technically credible, competitive aerospace proposals for NASA, DoD, and civilian customers.
• Draft original content for proposals, including product descriptions and performance requirements.
• Contribute to themes, storyboards, and strategic narrative approaches.
• Write executive summaries and critical proposal sections.
• Interview subject matter experts to gather information for proposals.
• Review technical docs and translate into polished content.
• Collaborate with graphic designers to visualize technical content.

Job Summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Pittsburgh, PA or Remote Senior Proposal Writer / Proposal Architect to join its Proposal Development Team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Director of Proposal Development and be responsible for strategizing, architecting, and writing technical proposals for Astrobotic's commercial spacecraft delivery services and spacecraft systems. Candidates with technical backgrounds will also have the opportunity to help engineer the technical solutions being bid in proposals. This position is ideal for systems engineers, technical project managers, space scientists, and other high-level technical thinkers who are interested in flexing their creative skillset more.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work withina teamtodeveloptechnically credible, convincing, and competitive aerospace proposals for NASA, theDoW, and other governmentand civiliancustomers.
• Draft original content forproposals, including product descriptions, technical specifications, and performance requirements.
• Contribute todevelopingproposalwin themes,storyboards,andstrategic narrative approaches.
• Contribute to writing executive summaries and otherhighly criticalproposal sections.
• Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to gather technical information and incorporate it into proposals.
• Review technical documentation and convert it into polished and credible proposal content.
• Work with graphic designers to create compelling visual representations of technical content.
• Assemble, review, and edit proposals to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to guidelines.
• Rework proposal content to address feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to other technical writers on the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree inatechnical field, such as engineering, the physical sciences, orarelatedarea. Pursuit of relevant advanced degrees, relevant internships, or other relevant experiences may be considered in lieu of professional experience.
• 5+years of experience working in the aerospace industry or a relatedfield.
• Basic understanding of spacecraft systems and engineering principles.
• Prior experience writing competitive proposalsforfunding.
• The creativity tocommunicate technical topicsthroughbothprose and graphics.
• High-level, strategic thinking to storyboardcompellingtechnical narratives.
• Strong criticalthinking skillstoidentifyandcorrecttechnical, logical,and other errors.
• Excellentwriting ability, including astrong command of grammar, flow, tone,and conciseness.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• High attention to detailandexceptional organizational skills.
• Strong drive to deliver, improve, and succeed.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines for multiple overlapping projects.

DesiredSkills & Qualifications:

• Previousexperience as a systems engineer, program manager, or project manager in the aerospace industry
